For Brian's birthday this year I gave him a surprise party to be a kid again. No adults were allowed. I rented a big inflatable slide and we played games from our childhood like Red Rover, Red Rover, Duck, duck Goose, Twister and Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Everyone had so much fun that there were nothing but smiles and laughter. It was a perfect birthday party. Thank you to all those who came, celebrated and played with us.

Easter 2012
Beauty and the Beast
One of our Christmas gifts to each other were tickets to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. We really enjoyed the performance. It was full of entertainment and a lot of comedy, they had us laughing the whole way through. I fell in love with the Beast all over again. I love spending this special time with my sweet hubby.
Bullets and Bachelorettes
For Becca's Bachelorette party, Chris hosted a murder mystery party. It was a lot of fun to play a high fashion model. This was a different kind of murder mystery where you could also blackmail others. Awards were given at the end and I won the award for blackmailing the most and for Diva Drama. I was chosen by a lot of people as the murderer. But was I really?
Honky Tonk Homicide
What a blast to have a murder mystery party with a bunch of newbies. At the party we had karaoke singer (Brian), Preacher and his wife (Rob and Jill) town bar maid (Chris) traveling Carney (Kevin), the bad biker dude (Dave) the crazy trailer house lady (Laurie) and the local sheriff (Erin). Everyone had a great time and no one guessed who the correct murderer was. Who do you think did it?

Snow Tubing
Brian and I went snow tubing yesterday for the first time. We went to Gorgoza Park in Park City. Mom got us some tickets at a good price. It was the most fun ever!! I think this might have to become a yearly tradition.
The best part is you don't get tired having to bring your tube up the mountain, they have lifts that take you up so you can just keep having fun going down.

At first we raced. Brian won. Then we went together, that was fun with the extra speed it took. Another rider suggested we go on our tummy head first. That thought just scared me so I thought I would try that in an hour or so when I got more brave. On another trip up, someone suggested to have them spin you as you slide down and it jumps the fun up another notch. So I tried that. It was awesome! Then I braved the tummy. That was by far the best way ever!! I picked up speed and caught air on the bumps, it was exhilarating.
Brian and I then decided to see how far we could get at the end of the slide. Our first attempt wasn't too shabby. Went past the exit zone of the slide. Next attempt even better, we hit the air barriers and kept sliding down to the area where you go for the next ride. Then we tried again, we got some serious speed. We learned the hard way of what is under the air barriers. Two words, a ditch. I went into the ditch and Brian and the tubes landed on me. We were laughing so hard while pulling me up. The medical people came over to check on us and told us we needed to slow down. We figured we would and that we made it as far as we could. I think if we hadn't hit the ditch we might have ended up on the freeway.
We had such a good time and are hoping when we go again, we can take a bunch of friends and family with us.

One Step Closer...
We were so lucky to have reporter, Roxeanne Vainuku from KUTV News come across one of our adoption pass along cards. Her management and the news crew all agree to make it a story on the news that night. Roxeanne contacted us to learn about our story that we've been through so far. We had an enjoyable time with the interview. We filmed for about an hour. We were told we would be on the 5pm news. Naturally, we watched. Not only was it on the 5pm but also the 6pm and again at 10pm. What a great opportunity we've been blessed to get our name and faces out to so many people. We can only pray that there was the one person watching that may be faced with a difficult decision in their life and saw that we are a couple that is ready to share love with a baby.
We would love to share this with you all, so here is the link to the interview.

Thank you to the Gillis' for allowing us to have our cards in Francesco Restaurant where the reporter found it. Thank you to adoptionpassalongcards.com for helping us make the beautiful cards. And thank you Roxeanne for seeing a story and the great desire we have and make it possible for many people to see that as well.
